That is true! More specifically:
the use of night scope to hunt on public land is strictly prohibited
Hunt between 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour before sunrise is prohibited
Mounting of a night scope with a built in illuminator on a firearm is strictly prohibited
In fact use of flash/artificial light to hunt any regulated game animal at night on public land is not legal
the grey area would be coyote as the law doesn’t say you can’t hunt coyote at night but you can’t hunt what you can’t see. In general on public land it’s best to consult your local game warden!!! When on your own private property then follow your local ordinance and best judgement, safety first!
