Nikon 10x42 LaserForce Rangefinder Binocular (Refurbished by Nikon USA)

I posted this in Other parts, accessories, etc. and got very little response so I thought that I would put this in Optics, Scopes

I've had a rangefinder for 3.5 years and started thinking about getting a new one. I was having a hard time getting readings in certain situations - trees where the leaves hang low, weeds, low ground squirrel mounds. I have 3 locations I shoot at and it was bugging me. Mine was 8 power which I liked and most I looked at were 4 - 7. I don't remember how I started looking at binoculars but they intrigued me but I was stunned by the price. Well, I ended up buying these:

and couldn't be happier. They are AWESOME! The glass is fantastic, the range finder is flawless, very easy to read, very fast return. I've used them 4 different times and I smile every time I think about it. They are bigger and heavier than my old one but holding them with 2 hands makes them steadier and pushing the button doesn't take them off target which was a problem with my old ones. It's hard to justify the $'s but now I'm really glad that I bought them. I had bid on a couple Bushnell 10x42 laser rangefinders on ebay but didn't get them. I had set a limit because if I was going to go high I knew that I wanted the Nikon's.

There are some reviews out there and the only ding is the external coating picks up dust pretty easily and they do.

I've had a pair of Vortex Diamondback 10x42 binocs for years that I was happy with but these blow them away.

Nikon makes AWESOME rangefinders and binoculars. I’ve got an ArrowID 7000 rangefinder for archery. It has a built in stabilizer to help keep your hands steady, and it comes in handy to help range small targets, especially at longer ranges. It’s got great glass as usual, but it’s a shame Nikon isn’t making their own scopes anymore. I have a Nikon on a powder burner and it’s awesome also. Glad you like your purchase.

Who will handle Nikon scope and binocular and rangefinder warranty say if they still have ant warranty? Say for example Lifetime WARRANTY scopes etc. can't be repaired and now there's no replacement? Proof of receipt from the original owner's purchase is required now in order to still have a lifetime warranty and seems not transferable nor have their accidental damage replacement coverage any more.

WTH???

Nikon will still make rangefinders and binoculars along with their other camera goods. They are now selling their glass to Vortex I believe
