These are the main mods to my Niksan Ozark.
Out of the box (before the mods) I did not like too much.
After these mods I am starting to like it.
After these mods, the only thing that could still be improved is the trigger.
The accuracy was good from the start.
Mods
I used this regulator and adapter:
To raise the regulator pressure from 1800PSI to about 2500PSI I used shims like this:
m8x16 50pcs, 0.1mm Thickness
It just makes the barrel look thicker.
For the shroud I used:
-plastic tube (from Home Depot), about 1" ID, and almost 24" long
-Crosman 1/2-20 threaded baffle which screws on the barrel, wrapped in duct tape to get a tight fit against the tube
-3D printed (from TPU) barrel bushing which supports the rear end of the shroud
There is a small square plate under the trigger which can be removed.
Then 2 small trigger springs are visible.
They control the weight of the 2 stages.
I replaced them with weaker springs.
The first stage length is unfortunately not adjustable.
Tuning
This is my current tune.
Pellet: Norma domed 17.6 grains
Pressure: 4000 PSI to 2500 PSI
Velocity: 847-855 FPS
Shots: 102 shots (8 mags x 12 shots + 6 shots)
Hammer spring preload: 3 full turns in from flush (almost at the max)
Regulator around 175 bar (2450 PSI - 2500 PSI)
Transfer port adjuster open to max.
