I have a 90 cu in Ninja tank that is overdue for a hydro test. I think the date of manufacture is 8/13. What I am concerned with is the cracks in the epoxy coating. Is this acceptable or will these cracks prevent recertification of the tank?

I contacted Ray at Ninja and ask him if he cared to comment on your thread here. We will see what happens!
Edit: I received a reply right away: It is safe. Gel coat is cosmetic only. Hydro is not a problem!

I was hoping for that answer. I’ve only had this tank a year or so and looking at the renewal cost. I wasn’t crazy about having to replace it. Will take it down to my local dive shop for hydro.
