No power

My Remington XP .22 has no power at all when cocked by breaking the barrel! What is the problem?

Glad you liked it Dave but I guess it could be interpreted as smartass. I'm just trying to illustrate the difficulty of answering those types of questions & they seem be asked in that way more frequently.

Your Remington XP is a gas piston. Not a spring. The piston has failed. Try to find a replacement. If it’s something you cannot install yourself, then it’s probably not worth sending out for repair. Also check if it’s a piston you can refill with a high pressure pump. Some can be. Others are disposable.

I cannot feel any resistance at all when doing the cocking action? I purchased this Airgun new and have only fired maybe 6 shots.

return it . actually it sounds like the cocking linkage has a pin that fell out ?

Even gamo told me on there rams if one was to fail it with in the first shots ...

I would agree on the rma and refund or exchange gun ...

Looking at the disposal gas rams like crosman or hamo uses I did not see one that listed Remington as a CrossFit to just get a drop in replacement ..

Anyone know who makes that gun for Remington?
