I will add another Nomad II that didn’t make it 6 months before taking a dirt nap. It just up and quit producing pressure yesterday at the ranch.
See what Air Venturi has too say about it. It had three drops of oil added every 3-5 fills and was purged every 10-12 fills.
Guessing the cure is a Alkin or other larger unit?

I guess that depends on how big a tank you want to fill. I got a Yong Heng from eBay for cheap and it's been filling my rifle tanks (500 cc or less) 3 or 4 times a week (at least) and no signs of it failing anytime soon. Replacement parts are available and cheap. And for the price, I can buy 3 for what I paid for the Nomad.

Some body should invent a cheap passive in line air pressure booster that can use a 150 psi shop compressor to fill to the PcP air gun.

They have. Altaros booster. Just uses usb power for electronic logic.

it really boggles my mind how so many have issues with their Nomad 2's... mine went 4+ years without issue. BUT, when it quit... I did a "complete rebuild" myself on it a couple months ago, and it's running great again. time will tell on how long it will keep on going... and going... and going...

now that i have learned some "secrets" around the Nomad 2's... i am hoping time will be good to it again.

My nomad2 broke after a yr it's just in its beautiful bag with a piston shot out the side of it 700 bucks I should have bought a tank instead

Same here, broken after the warranty expired. A little over a year of service. Maybe we can make one working out of two broken .
