Nomad II 2 29 Days Monday

The first one of these I got would not build pressure. Sent back to Pyramid air and 6 days later I had a brand new replacement unit. I was impressed with their return process and getting me a replacement unit. The reviews on these on this forum and others are literally ALL OVER THE PLACE. This leads me to think quality control is a huge issue with these. I got one and it didn’t even work so when I got the second one by golly I was going to use the heck out of it. In almost a month, on purpose, I have shot way more than I normally do and I shoot a lot...... my tanks haven’t been used. I have followed the manual to the LETTER on the nomad since getting it from replacing the filter, to adding oil, to purging the system. In two days short of a month I have 11 hours of actual fill time on this... that is ALOT... Longest fill time is 17 min on Hatsan Hercules in 35 caliber when it needs filled and 13 min on the crown Continuum in 25 when I stretch it to empty.... mind you these times are from full to significant drop off so its filling a lot of air each time... my other 3000 PSI smaller guns like the gauntlet take about 5 minutes in the same state.....

So far knock on wood this thing has been used as hard and as heavy as it ever will and has been OK. My concern is still longevity and air venturi customer service. When my first unit didn’t work after 5 voicemails and three emails I never heard back. Two weeks later I got a response on facebook. After I was already using the replacement unit from Pyramid Air. I have ZERO faith in air venturi’s Customer service should a problem arise with this unit in the future. Couple that with the price tag I am seriously contemplating keeping this or sending this back and getting another large tank or adding some dollars and Getting a tank compressor. That said, its been really really nice being able to shoot 100 rounds a night and then fill using this in 10-15 min and not touch tank air... my local fire department is probably missing me.
