Noob journey into FT obsession

Well, I survived my first GP. The high were high, and the lows…. Well they happened. After the first day I was in the lead with a 55. I was over the moon, with how well I shot, and may have celebrated a bit much. That and the pressure got to me. I hate to admit it, but the mental game got me today. I made 3 mistakes that cost me the win, and the other 2 guys in Open stepped their games up. I ended with a 51 on sunday, and ended up going from hero to zero. It was a humbling day, but I learned a ton, and met a bunch of great shooters. Icing on the cake was winning the raffle for a Air Gun Revisions modified crossman challenger.
Huge thanks goes out to the crew that put on the Finger Lakes GP. The grounds are great, and the courses were challenging. Can’t wait til the next GP in NC, and if plans work out I’ll get to head to Puerto Rico for nationals.

Good to meet you at the match this weekend Joe. Yes, FT is humbling!! You shot great for your first GP. Well done. You've got a great rifle and an extensive background in shooting. So, all bodes well. Good to have another good shooter in the Open Class. See you at a match soon.
