Nosey Neighbors?

I'm surrounded by PB's going off every other day, so I'm good.
When I had my shoulder surgery I made a video of my first shoot the day after, shooting a Browning Buckmark crack barrel pistol, one handed. During the video you can hear the neighbors start with their powder burners. I comment, “There goes my neighbors with their pesky powder burners”. 👍

Yeah, for doing
UTS = Urban Target Shooting

camuflaging the target(s)
is actually good practice.... ⭐
Because Karens & Kens have multiplied as if the were rabbits.... 🙄

For targets I have used old cardboard boxes from the supermarket — that look like they are just trash sitting out there — with small red dots drawn as bulls' eyes between the labels of its (former) content.

Very... discreet.

There are things that I feel are worth upsetting someone.
Urban Target Shooting is not one of those things. 😁

Matthias
I take exception to to the "Ken's", I know a few Karens that aren't.

I take extra care to always make sure if whatever I'm shooting at will stay within my yard. Passed up many shots on squirrels due to them being in a not so good position if I were to down them, or miss (I feel like they know I wont take aim at them if they chill on top of the fence seperating me and our neighbor's property). But at least it has only taught me how to be more patient and not pull shots, so a win is a win guess 😁
I also found out the TalonTunes shroud I got for my TalonP works a lot better than I think it does. At my end I still hear the loud/distinct ping noise once I shoot, however I guess most the noise dissipates within my room as I managed to down the groundhog who was wrecking havoc on the garden while the neighbors were having some outside gathering next door with no clue in the world that happened.

We are not out to annoy anyone, CUZ we would not like that ourself, so we try to be very courteous in general.
And we will go far, for instance in 2012 when we started into PCP, and shot in a small garden in the #2 largest Danish town, well we both procured a moderator though in 2012 that was a BIG NO - NO in Denmark for anyone and anything.

Now with my friend having his ex farm, and a lot more room, even if it is about 1/8 mile to the nearest house we still play nice in general, but we will shoot a KABLAMO target now and then.
And none of us have any qualms now shooting without a moderator for a while or my friend shooting his not really moderated PCP pistol, but in general cans are on of course.
But for instance when i got my new Two and dident like its shooting, i of course also tried to shoot it with no moderator on it, just to be sure that was not the problem.
But 40 - 50 shots or so and that was a done deal.

I like people that are nice CUZ they feel like being that, and not CUZ circumstances force then to act nice.
I do think niceness is something you can learn, or be brought up to be like that, i also think it is a trait you can very fast loose again due to circumstances in society in general.

There are MANY people i do not at all feel like being nice towards, so i try my best to avoid those CUZ it soon become a loose / loose situation otherwise.

I shoot in my backyard into a pellet trap filled with rubber mulch most of the time. I have a "know your limits" target too and one metal squirrel target that get some pellets too. Behind my yard is a large lake with the homes on the other side over 200 yards away. I am shooting down so the pellet always goes into the lake but might skip a time or two. My pellet traps are just over 8.5x11 and I don't miss the often but I'm getting ready to mess around with scopes swapping them between guns and might miss the trap during that process. One has a 20 MOA rail and the other doesn't. I need to figure out how many layers of soda can shim equals about 20 MOA so the scope swaps go smoother. It is legal for me to shoot in my hard and even into the lake but I still use moderators and try to catch almost all my pellets to be respectful of others. I also do not shoot when there are boats on the lake in the line of fire. At least some of my neighbors know I am shooting my pellets guns and don't care. Nobody has complained. I want to keep it that way.

I keep the traps inside or on the back porch when I am not shooting into them, generally. The birds like to do their business on them if I leave them out and they aren't weather proof. It isn't much that I want to hide what I do but it does reduce the time period when that could be noticed. Mostly people hear the gun even with the moderator. It tends to be quiet around the lake until a boat is around or somebody mows their grass.
