Clearly I am a novice to this compared to you. What's your opinion on this one? Unique reticle, not sure I'd care for it.

If you like the $1499 Element Nexus you will like this scope. But it's a tad heavier and it is priced what the Nexus should cost IMHO.
It's not as warm (picture) as the Tract Toric but for the price that's worth buying several IMHO.

I’m not a fan of the “Tree Reticle” personally. I would very much prefer the reticle design used in the Alpha 6 or something similar such as the SWFA MIL-QUAD which I really like also.

Just so you know the Bushnell G2 and the illuminated Mildot version both have a 25 yard minimum focus no matter what the specs say. Some website specs says 10 yards but nope! They are not!

I noticed the min focus claim and was perplexed, then read ODs comment, BS it is.

I do not like it either for hunting, too busy and blocks my view to see subtle movements of game. I honestly don’t like it for airgun use period but that’s an opinion. Where I feel it shines is hitting steel at long range and I won’t be using an air rifle for that.

I have a CT 2 series and the scope you are looking at is a step up from mine. It’s definitely worth $550 in my opinion. Made in Japan with ED glass. My scope is very clear and is well made. I would order one for myself IF the reticle was different.

Also, you need to check for better deals before you buy anything from DVOR. Sometimes they have a smoking deal that can’t be touched and other times you can find it elsewhere for much less. They had a Kryptek rifle case I really liked some time ago and it seemed like a good deal at that time. I was going to order one and was busy with work and forgot it before the deal ended. The deal they had was $69. I started looking around harder for this case as I really liked it. I eventually noticed that Kryptek had it on their site on clearance for $42. I ordered one from them and waited 2 weeks before I received it. The case was actually much nicer than I expected, and I went to order 3 more they were gone.
I did buy a Trijicon Accu Power scope from them months ago that I have never seen that cheap and still haven’t found one close to that deal since.
