Tuning Not sure

Please help. I know Jack about the internals of these airguns, I do read about these kits, 

vortex and a few others I can’t pronounce improve the performance of the gun.
I have a HW80k.25 which I use for thinning Varmint populations. Will I benefit from this this kit?

Yes. That one will increase it from around 18 (I'm guessing) to around 22 foot pounds. The cocking effort is stiff in a HW80K with that tune kit.

Thanks for that info. I had no idea. I own a HW 90 which I have a difficult time cocking and don’t want another.

Would it be similar to that?

I had an HW80K in 25cal, but it has been so long I don't remember the numbers I got out of tuning the gun. It was before Vortek existed so it was with a Maccari kit. I think it was 19 foot pounds but the cocking effort stayed the same. I tuned an HW80K 22cal several years ago to 835fps with H&N FTS and was as difficult to cock as an HW90. I have owned 2 HW90's over the years in 20cal. I think I enjoyed cocking them more 20 years ago before I bought my first pcps. lol. If you wanted a smoother gun put a Maccari kit in it what a Vortek piston seal. Tom at Vortek is very helpful and can make a spring to your liking.

Again jasmlowe I can’t thank you enough. I will return the kit and take your advice and see if I can get a hold of Tom. I picked up several nice guns over the last two years and I would like to buy kits for all of them and clean them up next winter. Crow
