Benjamin Not the latest and greatest

I think the Benjamin Kratos is a little long in the tooth. Being it was new in 2019? So like the title says, not the newest thing out there.

So for that reason I kinda feel weird being so excited and impressed with this rifle.
Like nobody is there to share in the excitement lol. Basically old news to many

But with all that said.

I love this thing. The Turkish Walnut is really nice. Would be amazing with a finish on it that pops that beautiful grain out.
It shoulders extremely well standing off hand.
The side lever action is like butter cycling another pellet in the chamber.
The trigger! Wow, it’s going to take a little adjustment. But man it feels great.
The look and feel of the rifle is quality.
The plastic mags are the easiest loading plastic mags I’ve used. I just wish they were aluminum. Not for function (because these work great) but for the look of quality.
It’s my little nitpick.

I can tell already that I’ll be shooting with it often.

This was purchased from Air Gun Revisions as factory refurbished for 229.00

Honestly feel like I stole it😂😂😂

While all these new fancy guns are great. It’s sometimes nice to enjoy a more simple traditional airgun. That looks like it’ll be a comfortable one to shoot to. Enjoy
Thanks Rob.
I’m going to try lightening it up some. Replace the metal bottle with a carbon fiber. Drill out the butt of the stock. Inlet the stock under the chassis where I can. Maybe replace the barrel shroud with a CF version.
Still researching what others have done and why they did it.

Many of my google searches have came right back here the AGN.

With electronic gadgets (computers, phones, etc.), I seem to always want the latest and greatest. However with guns, airguns and firearms, I'm not too concerned. With guns, I actually prefer the older, more time tested models.
As I get older. The less the latest and greatest interest me. But there was an exception lol. I got a GK1. It’s definitely lived up to the hype.

My older guns (older than yours) check EVERY BOX for me. There's NOTHING like a gun that still amazes years down the line!

When FX made simpler guns. Amazing line up Gerry! That boss 30 is THE BOSS!

Might I suggest doing th CF bottle before you drill out the stock?

Taking weight off the front might balance it all out, and the added weight in the rear will help. If you Lighten both ends, you might end up back to that unbalanced feeling.

That’s kinda my thought. When I do have an issue with it in the future. There’s a strong possibility that others before me have had and fixed said issue.
Keep your air source and fill nipple clean and the valve seat should stay trouble free. That's the only thing I'd worry about. O-rings will be easy to source, a poppet can easily be made. Trigger parts don't typically break or wear out, hammer should take 10k rounds before even possibly wearing thru the case hardening.

Yeah, you'll be fine lol.

The only thing you should feel weird about is all the dummies spending five times as much as you on a gun and not being as satisfied as you. You should actually feel like you pulled one over on the PCP by taking a cheap express trip to happiness. Leave the metal bottle on if you’re a bench guy. Weight is your friend.

I have the Cayden in .22, and Akela in .177. Both are fantastic shooters and very reliable. If I were interested in .25 caliber I would most likely pick up a Kratos from Rich. Curious as to what Benjamin will replace the Craftsman series with. Would have a hard time making something better at the same price points. These guns prove that simple does not equal inferior.
