Notos aftermarket moderator options....

So First PCP and the first thing i did on the notos was carefully mill off the factory moderator, going to have it threaded so i can put it back on now that have my shroud with a threaded adapter. I heard the factory moderator is pretty good which is why i saved it. I wanted it removed so i can pack the whole notos down in a super small pack. And was curious about aftermarket moderators - know there are reviews on some but some of these reviews are over a year old - is there something that really would make the short barreled notos quieter for night pest control in an urban environment?

Without the moderator the notos is as load if not more than 22 (more bark, less crack), but was really curious about what works as also didn't want to put $ in a new aftermarket moderator unless it will be actually quieter that the factory one. Saw the CANCAN - it looks nice but with only one extra baffle not sure if it would quiet it down much. Heard ok thing about some terminator deci-bal thing but would be more interested in real member feedback and not some sales pitch.

Get the Tesla insert for the stock moderator

My Notos is coming in the mail. Family gave me Amazon funds for Christmas. Literally first ever air gun purchase. I don't even have a compressor or hand pump yet. I have been bookmarking sites and modifications that intrest me. I hope to be able to dm Tango Sierra to purchase a Tesla moderator and custom mags.

NOPE! TS no longer makes moderators.

Mags? Yes, great mags!

Was really looking at Airgun Capital for the moderator but went another route - well see how the threads hold up on the plastic moderator... but im very happy. I did manage to save the factory moderator (barely). However I really wanted to thank all the folks here who assisted and pointed me in the right direction for this build - very happy as its prefect for what i was looking for something that can be taken out in the woods and fit in a regular backpack. Didnt realize getting into this sport was expensive as it was - but then again lot of the big ticket items (compressor, extra 2.5L tank) are pretty much one time purchases. Anyhow The whole setup when compartmentalized is just bigger than a ream of 8.5x11 paper. Cant wait to now research some slugs as the jumbo pellets are very accurate considering the 11" (? or so) barrel. Thank you all who helped bring this project together - based on the results I'm sure this will not be my last PCP! :)

That looks SO good on your gun!

Thanks yeah was going to use an old bushnell banner I had on hand but the scope was huge :( - came across discoveryoptics and got a good deal - the scope is great (not as nice as my burris scopes) but for the application they are real good, clear, and affordable got the HT 3-12X40SF. In the future id def consider getting another for some powder burning toys and see how they do with actual recoil.

Did they arrive? You happy with them?

Make sure to go slow and use plenty of silicone grease to keep them from pinching!
Wohoo, o-rings finally arrived yesterday in the mail. Slipped them on the barrel and finally got some real plinking in on the Notos. I am a long way from dime size groups, but the journey has had its' good moments. Thank you Firewalker!

There are moderator inserts available on eBay and made by some users on the forums. You can easily remove the stock moderator insert and find aftermarket inserts that change the sound profile and volume of the gun. I just installed one yesterday made by a fellow AGN member and it works great. Lower volume and much dampened sound profile. I wrapped the entire suppressor in camo tape to dampen the sound further and make it appear as one piece.
