Notos or p-rod

What pellets are you running in your Jet?
So far, just 14.3 grain CPUD's and 15.89 grain JSB Hades. The Hades make a nice tight group at 40 yards!

This is 14 rounds shot at 40 yards with the Hades. This is a 6" target.

It's pretty solid up to 25 yards. Now that I have the bipod I need to slap a better scope on it and see how far out I can get. I'd imagine anything over 30 yards is going to be difficult but maybe.
I haven’t shot any paper groups at long distance with my Notos yet but I can connect with soda cans at 60 yards no problem.

I've been looking at the Notos for a bit today, and I just can't justify a need for it. The kral mega thumbhole I recently built is 33.5" long, 38 fpe for 24 shots, and shrouded with baffles. Checks all the boxes for me... although it weighs a little more than the notos and I would fancy the left hand cocking lever.

BC. Cmon buddy. Be one of us. ONE of US. !! Yeah your last Kral creation really does check the boxes.

I wholeheartedly vote Notos. I had the Jet on order and quicky canceled and reordered the Notos
instead

It’s not bad to have 2 that check the same boxes. That’s the nature of our hobby

Notos, for sure. 765 FPS with 14.3 CPDs and I am whacking half-dollar spinners at 50 yards. Dropped four squirrels so far with it from 20 to 50 yards.

LMNOP This is bone stock correct?

Get the notos. I don't own one yet, but I've had a Prod and I wouldn't waste the money on one these days. They should be under $250 now, can't believe crosman expects over $400 for one.

This is the crux of the issue. I have two Prods and love them both, but I didn't pay over $225 for either. $400 gets you a lot of PCP these days and the Prod just doesn't stack up. Though, whether it's nostalgia or the easy parts support for tinkering, I'm still a Prod fanboy.

The Prod is a tried and true platform. The aftermarket , as has been said , is plentiful. If it was sold today at the correct price it would still be a very viable and attractive performer.

These new carbines at their price point …its just hard to get around that … especially with the Notos
Needing only an optic / open sights

I am waiting for someone to sell an aftermarket trigger setup that would really place the Notos from a 4.5 Stars to a 5 Stars setup. There has to be a market there for experienced machinists.

The trigger is not bad to me at all. I started airguning with some springers that did not have good triggers ( crosmans). I learned how to shoot them. Haveing said that I’d opt for a massaging of the stock assembly

I did sand off the sharp tip on the adjustment screw and applied a little grease to the contact points I could reach with just taking the side panel off the trigger assembly. One day when I’m board, I’ll pull the parts and the hammer and polish them, but just the sanding and a couple dabs of grease made a significant improvement!

Dang, I haven't equated buying with need. Maybe that's why I'm so broke but my gun hanging wall looks so cool.
