Umarex NOTOS Owners and modifications:

I don't see a kit for it, only the 22 cal. I've made a few 25 cals using a Reximex Tormenta barrel (375 mm long). Other Turkey made barrels also work, like Kral available from Canada shooting supply. The 12 mm step needs lengthening a few mm, the transfer port can be elongated to match the Notos. I made my own pellet prove, but if you want a quick easy way to do it, find an empty 22WMR shell and cut the rim area. You can use this as a sleeve on the prove, it's just under 25 cal. I'm getting 42+ fpe with the 14.75" (375mm) barrel reg to 2200 psi.

That's the pellet and speed im looking for. If it shoots kings, it's likely to shoot hades too. I'm looking to use ammo ive already collected. My old gen 1mrod is big and heavy for what it does so it's ammo needs to get used elsewhere.

Don't forget to open all passageway, mine all 4.5 mm except the air block I opened to 6.5 mm. This was done because I wanted to try it as a 30 cal carbine, otherwise 4.5 mm will be good.

yezzir! the fact that the notos is super mod-friendly makes it a joy to own! stock form is just as enjoyable, but mods are where the fun truly begins!
Tinkering is probably more of my want than a money pit, the notos seems like a fun option. I've gone down the fx slug cannon road 😅. You may have sold me on one even if I kept it stock.

There has been good news as of late. Without doing any porting and/or permanent changes, I have been able to increase velocity from 740fps to a whopping 812fps with just an FX liner/barrel kit from c88machining on ebay.

This was achieved with a 700mm liner while the 500mm liner gave a solid 800fps.

In the near future, I will be modding a brand new Notos with full 5mm porting through all the receiver, air block and transfer port, the custom made thimble will utilize multiple ports for full use of all the new air.

The wanted result of all this will be to make a modular, easy to build, step by step, full power air rifle that will reliably shoot at 100y with the pellet or slug of choice within the confines of the available magazines.

Hi, I’m new here and pretty new to pcps. I have a 600mm fx liner coming and c88 barrel kit. I want to do some porting. I’m not sure where all the places to port are. Is there anyway you can show me where and what I need to do it.

Porting is the one process where I caution people as a small error means a ruined gun.

I see the desire for 5mm porting and while that is possible, it also requires that the transfer port access/plug hole will need to be retapped and machined for the new oversized screw.

4.5mm looks to be the largest opening we can swing without additional machining.

In order of airflow, the porting is as follows: airblock, valve body, transfer port, barrel.

We can solve the airblock restriction by using a CRC plenum, the barrel restriction is resolved by the c88 FX barrel kit leaving just the internal porting to be completed.

Okay yes I’m going to be ordering the plenum and extension and huben valve. Do you know of anywhere that shows a how to of the internal porting, I’d hate to ruin my notos.
If also read in the forums that you will do porting if the gun is sent to you?
I love doing things myself and learning, so a guide to doing I’d I’d love! If not is it possible to have you do it?
