Umarex Notos Part 66

i also ported the vertical airway that leads to the barrrel and also gave the barrel an oval port that’s angled towards the back of the pellet. this gave me around 110-120 fps with 14.3 cphp with the stock barrel. i also cut a half coil on the spring, added a washer as spacer and lightened the hammer about 2-3grams. i also removed some metal from behind the hammer spring tensioner screw to let me back it out farther. this lets me have anywhere between 16-24fpe with 14.3 cphp.

Slight upward angle correct?

I'm at 791-794 with jsb jumbo exacts, I went through about 15 mags to find a sweet spot. I'm running 2200 through a 500cc tank, running a drop block from the c88 plenum. I chamfered the opening in the part66 port. (Did before the tank) wanted to see what 2200psi did to my velocities before I ported. I can get mid 790s with jsbs but got an absolute high velocity with 15.89 barracuda 15s of 831. But that was before i found that perfect little notch on the hs. That keeps the SD around 4 FPS. And jsbs and Cuda 15s in altoid sized groups 25-35y. With the tune the jsb are between 791-794 as I stated and the cudas around 806-811, i tried the benjamin single dies this week. None too impressed. Maybe the original barrel would do better with them. I put the 380mm Fx barrel kit on it with an stx superior liner. So if there is 50-75 fps to be gotten I'm doing it. Thanks.

sounds like you have a nice setup!

i never played with the notos regulator and the stock barrel with 25 grain gives me a 710fps muzzle velocity with hammer spring 75% in. any more and it doesn’t do anything, just sounds like i’m wasting air. i’m suspecting my barrel is too short at this point.
