Umarex Notos Regulator

Has anyone actually increased reg pressure on a stock notos? If so how much can it take before not being reliable and how much of an increase in velocity. I've seen a lot of info on different mods people have done on the Notos but not on just increasing the reg pressure. Figured I'd ask before I mess with it.
There's an entire sub culture dedicated to hot rodding that platform. Youll find power increases, caliber changes, bottle conversions, fx barrel conversions (i think people sleep on this). You're about to find a rabbit hole.

Good question!

Hard answer...

The Notos is well balanced right out of the box. Most attempts to increase power without making permanent modifications to the ports generally fail.

There are two mods however that will give you better velocity without making a permanent change. They are: Add a plenum & Use an FX barrel kit.

The plenum is a very mild change by itself, the barrel kit can increase velocity as much as 50 fps.

The stock hammer and the stock hammer spring don't allow for much adjustment, in fact, of the couple hundred quick/stock tunes I've done to converted Notos, the best velocity and shot count end up being almost the same place place the factory had them set.

The carbon fiber bottle conversion combined with full porting to 4.5mm and the use of the FX barrel kit along with a hammer weight, give the best velocity increases I've seen.

700mm 800mm bigger caliber would b nice too

WOW!

The Notos is well balanced at 750 fps shooting .22.

A larger caliber (.25) requires modification of the smallish receiver to open the ports up to get enough air to the pellet. Even then, you will only get 800ish fps and most likely less with an 800mm barrel.

Somewhere between 600mm and 700mm, the air runs out and the pellet starts slowing...

Yes, I can fit one of several barrels to the Notos but the FX Liner is not made but bought. In the end, after the machining time, the FX Barrel Kit from C88machining and the FX liner would be cheaper.

Youbetcha!

You need to open the ports to 4.5mm, add a hammer weight and and open the regulator WAY up!
What would you suggest setting the regulator to? I have the 500mm barrel kit and 3 extension and the plenum extension. Also I ported it out to 4mm but looks like I should go a bit bigger. I can do the work to the gun but tuning is a bit of a struggle for me.
