Umarex Notos tank change

No, sorry.

The Notos and Zelos tanks are different, they attach differently, the Zelos/M60 have quick detach air tanks, the Notos has no QD valve.

The Notos has an overmolded glass filled thermoset plastic moderator housing. It's "not" removable. I use a lathe to remove the housing and then I thread the barrel with 1/2x20 UNF and recrown the barrel.

It's pretty fussy work, it's easy to mar, gouge or ruin a barrel with a hacksaw or dremel tool.

so I remember seeing pictures of the zelos in tank form also the m60.. and I remember seeing the quick valve.. but does the zelos tube version have the valve too? for some reason I thought I remembered that something had to be changed to put the bottle on.. I think the only place I saw that was when you were starting to do zelos mods and it was your posts.. so I figured I'd ask you for clarification since you have good experience with them.

I was hoping the notos had the same threading for the tank as the zelos and I guess if the notos doesn't have that pin valve I'd just find a way to remove the zelos one. The tanks look like the same diameter which is why I started thinking, slap on the longer tank from the zelos.

Mark,

You are correct BOTH ways!

The first M60's had no filler port on the adapter. It had a quick disconnect but you had to remove the bottle, install the fill adapter, fill, remove the adapter and screw the bottle back on.

The current generation has a foster on it, fill on the fly, QD bottle as well.

Give it a try. I've not pulled the Zelos tube apart.
