I need help deciding on which airgun I should get my budget is flexible and I want something upgradeable and am planing on linking and hunting small game
@illa Welcome to AGN. Consider taking time to read through the threads linked below. You can read and learn from the experience of others on the AGN forums.

The Notos has a strong following for a new airgun.

@illa , as a relative newcomer to air rifles for the reasons you mention I recommend looking just as hard at your air source for a PCP. I have a hand pump, a "tiny" 200 dollar Amazon compressor and the larger and faster "500" dollar GX CS4. Knowing what I now know I would have gotten the GX and saved a few bucks by not getting the other two. I would also get a chrony - earlier rather than later.

Out of all the air guns you mention I wish I had gotten a NOTOS as a starter rifle and likely an only air rifle, except it does not come in .177. You can do a lot with a NOTOS, reminds me of the powder burner, 10/22. I have a .22 Airacuda Standard and I don't like shooting it because at nearly 10lbs with scope it is a "log" but I wanted a "cheap" experience with a "power wheel" air rifle. I didn't think I would find the weight so off putting. However, I have a pair of light weight Air Arms S200s and a light weight "now" regulated Stormrider, all 3 are .177, and I find them fun to shoot and fast to fill.

I am intrigued by the NOTOS and the things that forum member @Firewalker is doing for the NOTOS faithful. But I have a friend who insists I take his little used FX Streamline so will hold the line on more air guns for the time being.

I forgot to ask, but are you familiar with the different options as far as powerplant: co2, multipump, spring piston, pcp? Each has its pros and cons.

Knowing your budget would help of course as well as if you have any preference as far as caliber, rifle vs. bullpup or pistol, and whether you want higher power or more backyard friendly shooting (since both can work for plinking and small game).

Gotta figure out what you'll be doing with whatever you buy. I own an Airacuda Max in .22 and the Notos. The Notos is great for plinking and accurate out to 50 yds. It's also low on power (695 fps with 18.1 gn JTS), low shot count (19 shots before hitting the reg) and the trigger is quite "crunchy". Fun gun to shoot and very lightweight.
The Airacuda Max is something I can't stop shooting. Out of the box it was shooting 895 fps and LASER accurate to 65yds. It's 8+ pounds without a scope but I only use it for bench rest. I've had it a few months and put a few thousand JTS 18.1gn pellets through it without any issues.
Where you purchase your gun can make a difference in your experience. I buy from AoA because they test EVERY gun they sell and have a really great and knowledgeable staff.
This won't be the last gun you buy so get what you think will make you happy.
Good luck!!

Today: 19 shots with the UX Notos at 50 yds using CPHP 14.3 gn. 2 mph cross winds with 4 mph gusts.

What do yall think of the bsa r10 or daystate huntsman
I don't own either of these but seen reviews on them. I do know they are fine guns. Both are super accurate and have an excellent fit and finish. Thinking about getting the R10 for my gf. It's on sale at AoA for a really good price. The Daystate will give you 1 more choice in calibers.
Both are fine choices...

AEA has been the worst brand experience for me in general, seems like they just pump out prototypes and never fix design flaws. In contrast, i have heard great things about the notos and pp750. The aircudas seem well built but it seems like the Notos has the happiest users.
Tentatively disagree on AEA. I had both excellent and bad experiences with AEA, they are cheap and require a lot of attention and TLC to get them running. But once you get AEA running smoothly, it's hell-of-a-gun. It all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into them. For me as a platform to learn how to work and maintain airguns it was a fine journey. As for PP750 - awesome! Zero issues. PP700 the same. Everybody seems to love Notos, but I did not have a chance to try out one myself. Why has no one said anything about Benjamin Prod? Great and very reliable platform with lots of upgrades available.
