Notos with scope won't zero in.

SO i got a 3x9 40 scope for my Notos and I can't for the life of me get it zeroed in. I took the scope off and re mounted it and put all the cross hairs back in the center because i maxed out to the left trying to get it to be on the bulls eye. I am almost to the point where i think the issue could be the gun. I was trying to zero it at about 30 feet cause It won't even hit the box the target is on. I had to get to about 10 feet away just to hit the box. I took it to a gun shop and they said it looked like it was mounted correctly. Any ideas to try would be great. thx.

Try another scope first to see if the gun does it with that scope also. If both scopes need lots of windage, then it is the gun. If second scope zeros fine it's the scope. Eliminate a few variables first. Rings could be the issue. Flip them left to right and see if the windage needed flips also.

You had get within 10 feet to hit the box?
What size box is it. In other words how far off center is it, in ten feet of range?
You need to know that because your scope may not have enough adjustment to meet it. So you also need to know your scopes range.
Once you determine that your scope can reach it, then go for it, but if the gun is that far out of whack it may need to be returned.

Wow. Most times its elevation isdue due to somthing like droop or rail , but windage ??? Is the gun warped? Thats a ofd one.. maybe be if theres away to check left and right side receiver to barrel or down the left / right side of rail to barrel ? Or maybe the rail on the receiver is crooked somehow?

It was probably a good 8inches to 12inches off. I was using a 3ftx2ft box with a normal size target. I asked around to some friends to see if they have a scope i could try.

Thats kinda what i was thinking is that the rail was off a little. Going to try and borrow a scope from a friend and see if that one zeros in or not. If it doesn't guess i'll need to send the gun back.

Working on getting another one from a friend. Hoping its the scope so i can return it and not the gun.

Umarex has that "iron" sight kit for like $10. Its not fancy but of you had that and popped them in the rail then you could see if having them centered works or if you still had to slide them way off center ..

This is kinda a reason why i don't buy guns without sights you kinda see how your stuck without any .. but at least with the notos it's available. ( Should be included in the box with the gun to start with)..

Going to order these right now. Good way to figure out if its the gun or the scope.

May as well look at the rest of the extras the pistol grips that i assume removes the hump the stock goes into, exyra mag, ss tray , may help cover shipping cost adding another $10 add on item or 2 .. i think if you did not get a lemon (still to be determined 😉). I think youll enjoy that notos.

How are you holding the gun when you zero? Bags, gun vise, bipod?

Are you using both picatinny rails? Or just the forward one? Unfortunately they are plastic and can twist right or left.

I used adjustable mounts (the ones i got were not adjustable for windage) as I found my mounts not level front to rear. Mine did seem to be a little to the left of center as well but not as bad as yours.

Had the exact same issue except mine was with a friends POS springer He got off amazon. The culprit was a top pic rail that was mounted off line with the barrel. If you cant reset the top rail , then an eagle vision mount with the lateral adjustment can help. Unfortunately, it's a bit pricey. the only other way I knew was taking 2 scope rings that are offset slightly, some cheaper ones are, and mount them so the offset is towards the barrel line. This will save windage adjustment on your scope.

And if you are not aware. Under your front pic rail is a dovetail mount up front. When you remove

the rear picatinny mount you can get a dovetail plate to bolt in the rear.

That way the dovetail is more solid.

Here in is the mount on my pp750

7 things could be the problem
1- bad scope
2- bad Scope Rings, defect in alignment
3- improperly mounted Rail, twisted or not on correctly, check with a straight edge top and sides
4- loose barrel, check mounting grub screws under rail, must be very snug but not overly tight, 10 in/lbs
5- bent barrel, check with straight edge or roll on flat surface
6- clipping the Moderator, check internals for damage
7- wrong pellet size, must use .22 cal pellets only

it's got to be one of these, check all
