Umarex Notos with STX superior liner?

18.1 in JTS, JSB & AEA all do very well at distances up to 50 yards and further for some.

CPHP's do very well in the hundreds of Notos I've modded, here is a few cards from this last week.

I'm actually going to go out back right now and shoot some 30y groups to compare the AEA 15.89s, JTS18.1S, 17gr slugs, and CPHPs out of mine. Don't mind the impact point of anything but the JTS as its zeroed for them specifically

I have barrels, PM me.

As far as "needing porting", that's mostly true but not necessarily so.

With the c88machining FX barrel kit, the thimble is already opened as far as possible while still feeding pellets.

I found that there is a small velocity increase with a simple 380mm barrel swap but it plateaus there.

I doubt the orings are an issue unless they are cut.
I'm still new here, so I'll PM once I'm allowed!

It's good to hear that the 380 FX kit seems relatively plug-and-play. Do you know if the C88 adapters use the same odd barrel orings as the stock notos, or have they built it around something more easily available?

I despise the cold. They all did ok. AEA JTS did the best... This is not my best shooting. 29⁰. Windy, and just bipod. No rest, no bag. (Excuses, excuses)

They look similar. C88 sent mine with 2 extra sets of barrel orings, and 2 for the breech.

roger that, it's good of them to send spares!

What distance were you shooting your groups?

Here's 5 of my troubleshooting groups. All at 7yd, 5 shot groups, all CPHP's:

Those were at 30.

I really wasn't happy so I I did some tinkering with the reg and hammer spring. Got the sd down to 3.4fps ±.3 the extreme is at 9. I was getting 761-774 from the 18.13s with the settings on the first groups ... Wanted to improve them all. I just did a second set in a buddies auto shop at 35.. the more distant ones are much better. Lightening the strike and slightly lower pressure got me a lot better with the pellets.. I was pushing 17gr slugs out of that little 380mm at ~845-850 and getting great results... Take 3 and a half inches from and it's probably really over gassed for pellets

Your turrets must be maxed out. That's a 22 moa holdover if your scope is mounted anywhere close to the height mine is. You might wanna try moving it out to 18 or 20y man... Unless you're using a scope with a 5y parallax capability. I can't even focus that close. Parallax error might explain those not being one tiny hole

The rifle is zeroed at 20yd, point of aim is 1" over point of impact, the scope I am using has adjustable AO down to 3yd. We'll see what the chrono says when I get it tomorrow! My groups were shot to test possible moderator clipping, swapping between an unmodified moderator and one that I drilled out to 3/8" to give extra clearance. Unfortunately it didn't seem to make a difference.

I appreciate the insight! I still hold out some hope that there's a simple fix that I just haven't discovered yet.

If the objective goes to 3 then parallax is likely not the issue .
