Nova FReedom - better barrel?

Looking at the Nova Freedom. Like the idea.

Any chance to switch out the barrel and put in a Lothar Walther or similar higher quality one?

Are there shops or custom guys who could do this?

I like accurate Air Rifles but reality is they will be with me in the cab of a pickup on dirt and gravel roads, farm fields and the like. Subjecting a thousand dollar plus air rifle to the beating and scratches and such is almost criminal. Pest elimination is the main use and having a rifle I won't have to baby has its attractions.

That said - I do keep an Air Arms TX200MkIII in the pickup. Yes, it get scratched and worn and bounced around. But - accuracy is always there and that is why I bought one and use it. I can live with stock dents and dings with this rifle but don't want a much more expensive Air Pumper for that use.

Thanks in advance.

Those OEM Chinese barrels are pretty good. I suggest you go shoot the gun with a variety of very good quality pellets (or even them CHEAP Wal-Mart CROSMAN CPHPs that shoot surprisingly well in SOME GUNS) before making any rash decisions except for a highly recommended reseal kit and extra recommended lubricant. Good Luck. Yo!

Ahh, the OEM ATI Nova Freedom barrels work just fine! 🤣👍

I have a NF in .22 cal, and I absolutely love the thing! [I just wish it was a bullpup]
The oem bbl on mine has always worked out just fine - naked and/or suppressed..
By 'just fine' - I mean - I've used about 7 different ammo types through it:
Crosman Premier, JSB Diabolo / Hades, H&N [a few variations] and all shot Perfectly!
I've had the rifle for close to two years now, and have zero [real] complaints.

I'll second [and highly recommend] what Yo said.

🙂👍
