Nova Freedom verdict?

Now that this and the Aspen version have been out for awhile - what is the verdict?

Do they hold up?

Is accuracy as good as it could be? Would fitting a Lothar Walther barrel be worth it?

Yes, the stock is cheezy plastic - any way to improve it?

The idea is really good. For some reason we are not hearing FX Independence these days - what happened?

I liked the accuracy on my first 177 and it quit pumping after nearly 2 gears of every day use. My fault I neglected to oil it as often as I should have with so much use. It's accurate enough to not need a LW barrel IMHO I bought another one used and swapped uppers didn't even bother to check accuracy with the other 177 all is well again in the world. Haven't attempted to take everything apart yet but I pretty much get the idea how to fix it but I'm just too lazy and easier for me to just buy another one to swap uppers. Id buy another again if I have to but that first barrel ain't going nowhere! It's as accurate as my 177 Gauntlet 1/4"-3/8" at 50 with 10.34 AA (JSB 10.34 with Nova Freedom) on calm days. This time around I will be more mindful about oiling it as recommended by the mfg. Yo!

I have had some time to think about this. Although I don't own one it is plain that there is no way to filter out the moisture in the air when pumping them up. Yes, oiling regularly will help some but a gun with a separate pump that can have a filter would have more longevity. But then there is the pump maintenance/replacement to figure in. So, with the low cost of the gun and Yo having his last for two years of everyday use/abuse I would imagine they would still be worth the money to most.

The nova freedom was a great concept but the flaw is the pump.
You can keep repairing it or add a bottle for zero problems anymore.
Mine is 22 cal also very accurate.
Stock is cheap plastic but it serves its purpose and remember it is a budget gun.
