Got Bit by the NRL22 Bug.....
Benchrest shooting doesn't appeal to me unless I am paper tuning or BC Calculating so on my off time from hunting this will scratch my itch to shoot.
Got home from a weekend of opening Squirrel Season here in MO and decided to build a Tank Trap (barricade) to get some practice in.
My wife caught me hauling it up on our deck.... to my surprise she let it slide! (Perks of having a cool wife). Maybe she won't notice a Ladder, 55 Gallon Barrel, 5 Gallon Bucket, and some cinder blocks staged as well???? (Probably shouldn't push it haha)
Stuck with a 600mm Slug A barrel on the Impact shooting the 28.5gr .217 NSA slugs at 950fps. My Impact is a MKII with the Slug Power Kit and probe installed. All other internals are stock. Grouping 1.25" at 110 yards shooting off of an Armageddon Game Changer Bag resting on the Tank Trap with zero wind. Pretty impressive Slug at the closer ranges, but haven't tested them out to 200 yards yet.
Should be a fun year!
Recommend getting some 4x4 Tube Steel and making a Knuckle for the 4x4 posts to slide into if anyone plans on making one. This way it's easy to take down and store without having to mess with carriage bolts.
