Our requirements regarding slugs change with the power of the air gun we are shooting, the density of our target, from paper to large animals, distance, what shoots best in our gun, and our intent. So we have need of projectiles from light pellets to large heavy slugs. Some of us will stick with pellets, some will always shoot slugs. Some are short range paper targets, others long range targets, some want inexpensive projectiles to others cost is not much of a consideration. To me there is no best ammo only the best ammo for the shooter and his or her situation. I occasionally have need to dispatch raccoons when they appear to ravage my holdings and endanger pets etc. Then I want a semi auto .25 with slugs. Generally I'm dealing with squirrels Like the one that just chewed through my latest water hose. Many of the shooters at this forum want long range hunting and target ammo, some simply backyard plinking and occasionally pesting. The market will settle out to meet the shooters needs. BUT it is important to support our manufactures and suppliers. And buy what you want to keep the manufactures operating and the suppliers stocking what you need. To buy large quantities once ever one or two years does not encourage them to continue their endeavor. Each shooter will do as he pleases, hope fully we will all survive the glut of guns and pellets and slugs and the government will stay out of it. Remember to follow the basic rules of shooting, be aware of local laws and abide by them. With so many people seeing our guns which appear to be Firearms to them we are in the minority, they will make the rules. Guard against losing our hobby. Good shooting , safe shooting. GBGUNNER
