A few days ago I had finished up doing a little centerfire hunting for groundhogs and decided to try to pick off some pest birds around the cow shed with my Leshiy. As dusk approached I noticed a lot of starlings coming into the cow shed. I put two and two together and said they must be roosting here at night. I came back last night with my FX Verminator .22 cal. set on low power shooting H&N Terminators at 450 fps for 7.3 fpe. I did not want to do any damage to the shed roof. I was a little concerned if I had enough energy to put the starlings down. Ended up that was not a problem. There was an unbelievable amount of starling roosting there. I went to work for about two hours till I ran out of pellets. The next day when I went back to pick up the dead birds I counted 116. I know I will have to have a few more visits to get the bulk of the remaining starlings. That should eliminate a lot of the bird poop and make the farmer happy. Bill PS the video is pretty long so watch as much as you can take.
