NX-8 Scope Height

Greetings.
Can anyone please give me the (exact) height of an NX8 2-15 and 4-32 to the top of the turret? If you own just one, I will take the data.

I have an FX Crown MKII Continuum with a factory case; the 380 mm barrel is affixed, and the 700 mm barrel is at the top of the foam bed in the factory cut-out. The gun is presently wearing the Helix 4-14x44, and I have not closed the case with the scoped gun in it since I had it! It is a burden. I like the NX8 and wonder if it is a wee bit less tall than this Helix. I would like to keep the 700 mm barrel in the case and be able to cut out for the scope without risking contact with the turret and the barrel. To my eye, it looks very close. I suspect the Helix is smaller, but do not know. I did try to find manufacturer data, but short of contacting companies (time), I cannot find it.

Thanks.

Right about 1-1/16” from the top of the turret to top dead center of the tube. NX8 4-32. Not exactly sure if that’s what you wanted, but should be able to calculate most other measurements from that.

Thanks for the effort and time. I was looking for the total height of the scope from base to the top of the turret. I am not sure how I would be able to get the rest of the data from what you gave? Is it due to an assumption of tube diameter and base similarity?

Also, I copy on the zero/translating turrets. I had not thought about that. S7

Edit: I need to get a caliper from a friend (all my stuff is presently in storage), but eyeing the matter with a ruler says the top of the Helix turret to the top of the scope tube--with my zero--is about 1.25 inches (1 1/4).
Maybe it is me, but would it be helpful for companies to add this dimension to their specs? Yes, zero would affect translating turrets, but at least a base measurement would be obtained.
Thanks.

Right about 2-3/8” from the bottom of the turret housing to the top of the turret at the same elevation setting. Yeah, I guess I was thinking you could figure distance to centerline or distance to the bottom of the objective based on published data. In most of my setups the objective would be the limiting factor on how low a scope could sit, rather than the turret housing interfering with a magazine or mount. I didn’t think of how that could be useful when I took the other measurement.

Thanks a bunch. That does it.

Yes, for me, because I have to mount the scope rather high on the Crown because of the magazine, so far objective has not factored in--it is well above my barrel. Even mounting a 50 mm objective (the Ares ETR) did not matter.
On another note, perhaps I can lower the FX rings a bit to make up for this small distance.
You know, if FX made their cases a mere half-inch taller (or even 1/4 or 3/8), this conversation would not be necessary. Gee, they know people mount scopes, right? And for me, when traveling, at least, I like all the pieces in the case.

Thanks again. S7
