After pondering some Occam’s Razor angle. … and dealing with the blast of artic air . I’ve have been puttering at best with a back of a 87 year old mule. Getting old isn’t for the weak. 😢
Still working on finishing the Thunderbird build. It’s the second gun from the Firefox project . (Like Jurasic Park, there were two islands) .

When I built the Firefox ,I made two or three of most parts for testing and back up. I’ve settled on piston and spring set up and am waiting on LW TO GET barrels in stock..

Its blacked and waiting for ambition and warmth. 🤨

On a new note ,I’ve designed a ground up build of a whole new gun.. No manufacture has used this size tube or stroke set up. Not 25mm, not 26 ,mm not 27,28,29, 30. It’s not bigger.

Ill do a post later on details after final assembly. It’s a .22 with all the traits of every gun I’ve owned or worked on using the best of. Everything will be hand built except forks which I modified and re designed for a short transfer port design. Most Break barrels , have 15 mm long ports , inefficient they are. There is some WEBLEY,HW,AA … thoughts in this one. Ultimate 17 to 20 ft lb gun cocking easier than a R9

Prototype building from the ground up takes patience. Sometimes you build three four different designs trying to get it dialed in. Usually you do the math as you only get one attempt at milling cocking slots for stroke. Then it’s a new tube and re mill.
All costing time and money to you.

Looks like good progress. Will be paying attention for sure. Still don't hardly have time to get in my shop. Partial retirement might be coming after I turn 66 next December. People I do work for don't want me to stop. I keep my shop tempered with dry electric heat but it's 9 degrees out this evening and dipping to 5 overnight so my heat ain't doing much.
