C) Crosman Benjamin Titan NP .22 cal

Final cost difference between the 3 is less than $5.

How they stand up in (3) criteria:

Noise (low to high) Gamo, Crosman and Hatsan

MV (high to low) Crosman, Gamo (all most a tie) and Hatsan

Reputation (high to low) Hatsan, Crosman and Gamo

Seems like the best balance would be the Crosman, however I do not have any first hand experience with any the above mentioned air rifles.

I have owned a NP crosman (think it was a Vantage) a Hatsan 95 and Gamo Big Cat. I know these aren't the exact guns you're looking at but out of your 3 I would get in this order, Hatsan 95, Benjiman, Gamo. 



The Big Cat I had was a P.O.S. in my opinion (recent Gamo springers may be better quality). It had a plastic stock and outer barrel so it was super light and just felt like a cheap toy compared to the other two. Hatsan comes with a decent walnut stock and is probably the best quality wise and it should be since it costs more. You can also get the Model 95 with a Vortex piston instead of the spring which is what I had and it was a pretty smooth shooting, accurate gun. Nothing bad too say about my Crosman really, it was only around $70 and shot well for the price. I haven't touched a springer in a few years now so that's all I got lol. Since I have (kind of) owned these 3 guns I thought I'd at least weigh in. Just buy from a reputable dealer so you have the option to return if anything goes wrong. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Hatsan 95. Solidly built. My 95 was accurate. Nice trigger with very little work. I prefer wood and steel. Just my 2 cents! Got my trail shooting good after some trigger and lube work. Took while though.

I had a Hatsan PCP, wasn't very impressed. However, my boys and I have a Hatsan 135 and absolutely love it. It's well made, has a beautiful stock, is accurate, has a nice trigger and is plenty powerful. I've never owned a Gamo or Crosman Benjamin Titan but the Hatsan springers are pretty nice and definitely worth the money!

Since I've had excellent success with my Gamo Swarm Maxxim in .22...two of them, actually...I'll throw in for the Gamo Maxxim you included in your wish list, OP. I don't have experience with the others, but the Swarm, as I understand it, is simply a repeating version of the Maxxim. I like everything about it except for the bundled scope. It's trash. 

In fact, OP, you might want to consider the Swarm...the feeding mechanism on my rifles, and my buddy's .177, have worked flawlessly...except for the one time that a neighbor inserted a .177 magazine into my first .22, which 'splains why I had two rifles! Just sayin'...

I have some trigger time with all 3 brands, leaning heavy on the Hatsan. The Gamo I had was a POS, the Benji was nice (mine had a TH stock and decent optics) The Hatsan was a 95 gas ram. The 95 scope is garbage, the bang for the $$ and value for a sub $200 unit was great. Mine loved the RWS pellets over most others and Crossman premiers a close 2nd. IMHO I dont think you can go wrong with the Benji or Hatsans for that price range. I would have a real tough time spending money on another Gamo.

The 95 is a nice looking well built gun, its heavy and feels good in the hands. If you get the Hatsan, leave some money in the budget for a new scope. My buddy has the Benji, it shoots a bit faster than the Hatsan has a TH stock and a scope that is good enough. Good luck.

I have/had many gamos and crosman/Benjamin's and have only shot.one Hassan break barrel. I'd take the crosman/benjamin over the others. I tried some various gamos, 177/22 they looked cool I guess and no.thought they might be more ergonomic but the Benjamin trail is very ergonomic and I'd say the same about the golden/steal legal and the prowler. The only gamo I havnt had break some how or got rid of mostly due to inaccuracy is the Viper Express, but the trigger sucks and the stock is kinda weird for a "shotgun". Honestly the only reason I keep that viper express is my reloaded shells do such a great job of blasting buzztail snakes in half, and catching those lil mouse's that find there way inside.

It's been real easy to get parts from crosman/Benjamin's over the past 20-25 years. They have all the schematics and parts list on their website. Just call them up give them the parts numbers and they send them out. I have read many times people have had difficulty getting gamo parts from gamo, due to international firearms laws. I guess gamo being based outta Spain, you need a firearms license to order directly from them? Hatsan being from turkey, I dunno...... A co-worker with a Hassan 25 break barrel could never get it to shoot accurately, and after a few weeks he tried to return to big5 but they wouldn't take it saying the manufacturer didn't have a warranty or the gun was out of warranty via it was.manufacturers two years ago but purchased 3 weeks ago so I don't know if that's Hatsan or big5

I would take the crosman/benjamin. I have been enjoying their products for a quarter century, and to be honest the only gun for me that was a dud was the trail np pistol. Also crosman/Benjamin sling crosman pellets very well and most reports I've read involving crosman/benji guns about the only.pellet that shoots better than crosman are.JSB not to mention crosman pellets are made in the USA and can be found in just about every big box store and sporting goods store

I should add. I have not shot or handlers any of the new crosman/benji with the new.quiet barrels.that look like they were designed by Lockhead Martin's skunk work devison to resemble a stealth fighter or SR-71 blackbird

... i have repaired and owned all 3.....i would go with the gamo . believe it or not , in this particular case , the plastic gamo is a good gun for a great price....mine came friom academy sports and outdoors....it was raining that day, so it didnt matter much that the gun was largely plastic - i bought it on clearance for $120. it had a good 3-9x40 scope and also a 3yr warranty.... it was a gas ram and had the better c.a.t. trigger.... it was lightweight and also had a cool scope mount. it broke in quickly with crosman premiers shooting 760 fps avg..... the hatsan is big ol tank of a gun....the model 85 sniper vortek in .22 is the better way to go - but after years of working on , tuning , and selling turkish webleys and hatsans , i just wanna vomit when i see them. idk. lotsa folks love those .22 titans , tho. but you'd need to find an old one with the metal silncer and they only shoot around 690 fps with preimiers.....
