My days of walking much while hunting are mostly gone. Stands or blinds, always a rest. But I still practice off hand regularly. Fun and frustrating…

I told my wife that I need $5,000 to $10,000 for the rifle and another stuff so I can go to Paris and shoot 10m.

Give me a rest of some sort. I don't own a bipod, tripod or anything resembling a rest made for a gun, but I will find something!

My sincere regards to you folks that CAN shoot off hand reliably with accuracy and precision.

For my pesting, I know I can't, so (except in very rare cases) I don't and I will use any kind of improvised rest I can, to make sure I hit my target and make a clean kill.

My off hand is paper shooting in the basement. I was up north a few weeks ago and took a shot at a chippy off hand with a scoped gun, miss.
Wee little targets are very different than lining up at a deer. I will take an off hand a big target like that. Less than 50 yards though.

Yep. With age the $ might be there, but then the talent store is nowhere to be found, and the body can't always cash the checks the ego / id wants to write.
