Does any one get oil discharge on a regular basis from your Daystate Compressor when bleeding the valve to clean out the water trap?

So is this common to get a good bit of oil out of the separator/water trap when releasing the pressure after a 5-10 minute run time?

I haven't noticed any oil in mine. I will look next time I run it which should be tomorrow afternoon.

Have never seen a compressor of any kind that did not have oil, rust, and general nasty crap in the discharge.

Well it is the seperater so I would assume there will be some stuff but I would of thought there would be more water than oil coming out.

You have more oil than water? That's not right, a new compressor is going to put out
more oil in the beginning. if you cycle it so short that it does not make any water I guess
you could have more oil than water. A tiny amount of oil is normal, with your 5 to 10 min run time
don't think your making any water. With the investment you have I would suggest you contact the seller / manufacturer
And ask them. Judging from the pictures you posted I see nothing unusual, but I would still
check with the seller and or Daystate for your own peace of mind. Then you will know
and wont have to wonder if your being given bad advise. Good luck!

I ran mine yesterday and found that the moisture coming out of the trap had a bit of an oily feel to it, but it was mostly water...well mostly air with a tiny bit of slightly oily feeling water. Don't know if that helps.
