Ok 50 yard R9 groups.

That’s really good for a break barrel. I love HW barrels. Most companies slap a lothar Walther barrel on their branded air guns and call it good. Not HW. They make their own and they’re darned good. I do t have any experience with their 22s but after seeing that center group of yours I’m going to have a hard time deciding on my next 22 purchase.

FYI this R9 is an older 20 caliber. I do have a 22 caliber R1 that shoots just as well and I just bought a 22 caliber Hw95 Luxus that I haven't received yet. The 22 caliber Weihrauchs I've had and tuned for others were always accurate as long as I used H&N FTTs in them. Usually the larger head sizes worked best. RWS brand pellets also worked well in them. JSBs have never worked well in any 22 caliber Weihrauch I've tested so far. I won't use Crosman so I can't vouch for them in 22 Weihrauchs.

I got lucky. My .22 HW95 Luxus shoots the JSB 15.89 very well. At least out to 30 yards which is as far as I go most times. Hopefully yours does too. I get a little more energy with the H&N but not much change in accuracy I’ve seen. Haven’t done a lot of testing because it shoots the JSB so well.
If accuracy is the same I usually pick the pellets with more energy. It's been my experience with Weihrauch 22s that the JSBs are sometimes as accurate or rarely more accurate than the FTTs. However they usually make a full pound less muzzle energy. JSBs have thinner skirts and tend to be prone to shipping damage as well. I stay with what works for me and if the JSBs work for you stay with them. I'm just sharing what I have experienced. It's certainly not written in stone. Just something to consider.

Ron, I will be interested in the performance of your just purchased HW 95 & how you choose to tune it. Happy to see that it’s a .22 cal.
It's gonna get a Vortek piston seal and a Maccari kit. Not sure which one. I might try the adjustable kit this time. I'll be in touch with you when I get it together. Life's busy right now. So it's not top priority.
Be well buddy.

Yep, think we had that discussion before and that’s why I tried the FTT. I go from just under 16 to just under 17 with them. Much tighter fit than the JSB. I have 3,000 JSB to burn through and only 2 guns that I use them in, so there’s that. So far, all of the paper I’ve shot with either JSB or H&N has died. Fingers crossed ha ha ha.

Ditto on what Harve's said. HW95L .22 using FTT 14.66 5.53 mm at 25 yards.
