We have a huge eagle couple nesting close by, actually 2 pairs it seem, some times one of them is sitting on the railing on the driver tower ( 20 foot container )
mind you they do take off as soon as it see us.
Also deer in the field at night, i park my car there and it seem like reflections in it provoke some CUZ a scratched part showed up on my L side back seat door a few years ago.
Also some times a deer will spend the day in the fence / property line, going to put up paper a few weeks ago i scared one such up and it ran.

Recent study on the emerging wolf population here in Denmark show, that our Wolves are more night active than elsewhere in the world, probably as they can feel the stupid of Danes and dont want to catch some of that.
None of those in my immediate area, you have to drive a little to get to where those hang out, and i have met one testing a flashlight in a forrest at night, apparently it was alone and looked at me like " is that maybe dinner " so since then i bring huge knife too, even if some of my larger flash lights will easy cave in a skull.
Back then flashing the 85 watt HID flashlight made it leave.

Yeah unfortunately a hold off is necessary although I despise the deer around me. I have had to fence everything as they will eat it all. I didn’t completely fence the landscaping around the front of the house figuring the deer wouldn’t jump up on my raised front porch to enter. They didn’t for many weeks then we went on vacation for 10 days and they did. Had to fence off the porch side too this weekend. Michigan needs to crank up the doe permits, get more deer hunters, way up the damage permits or all the above. There are a ridiculous number of deer around here and they are fearless.

Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I am fortunate that I'm retired on 10 acres of property in a rural area, 3 of which are part of a 50+ acres beaver pond. With bush, fields, mature hardwoods and marsh it's a real diverse environment.

Fur, feathers, scales and skin - mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians- we have all kinds of critters and are on good terms with most of them.

Yeah, I have to be vigilant about animals wandering into the shooting lanes. The fawns are too curious for their own good and will come right over to see what I'm doing.

Nice to see!

Oh I’ve hit several over the years for sure. Last one was this past summer. Deer came out of the median one the freeway. Went right between my two trailers head first into the dolly that connects them. Came out from under the rear trailer ground venison

I cut up one road kill deer in my life, never again. My friend and I were pulling out of the hunt club a few weeks after season was over doing some work out there. We hadn't gone 200 yards when the car just in front of us center punched a deer. We stopped to see if the driver was ok, they kind of half crashed into the ditch on side of road. Driver was fine, new mercedes was borderline insurance write off. We picked up the deer and went back to the club, hung it up, gutted/skinned it. Temps were in the 40's at the time, nice and cool. Nothing was salvageable on the side of deer that was struck, 100% bloodshot. Both backstraps completely bloodshot, offside shoulder was 90% ok, salvaged maybe 25% of offside rear ham and offside tenderloin was ok. Not worth the time and effort.
