Ok, so any reports on the Hatsan Lightning?

Mark,

I had issues with it starting only about 1 out of ever 4 times I turned it on.. then I noticed that the plate over my fan was bent badly.. it was just a culmination of a bunch of thing for me. I decided I had no faith in the entire thing, but I blame UPS 100 percent for dropping it or whatever they did. Hatsan, while they could be quicker with Customer Service, have been pretty good to me... I say that with no check in my hand, but I will fix that with a credit card company dispute if I don't get it.. I have all the emails that say they are refunding me so shouldn't be an issue either way.

I posted on page 2 inquiring about that coolant line and fitting retrofit, and why I hadn’t gotten a notice from hatsan on this while everyone else did. It was like I thought, it was because I bought from a vendor while all who got notified bought straight from hatsan. No biggie. An email back and forth, a request of some photos to be taken of my compressor from hatsan, and my retro kit is on the way.

i posted this on another tread, and I’m not saying this to take credit about hatsan all of a sudden making things good with folks, but I did verbally tell them on the phone that they need to peruse the pcp forums and read up on the complaints of this compressor. It was the right thing to do.

i don’t think they had a clue as to what was going on here on the forums. Maybe with all the Airguns they are putting out drawing a lot of attention(Bullmaster as an example) they’ve overlooked any feedback on their compressor. Just ass-uming.

Well, Hatsan has yet to make good on mine, I'm still hanging in the wind so to speak, but now without the (overheating) compressor.

I sent the compressor back as instructed on Hatsan's RMA. They've had it since Oct 24 according to tracking. I dropped the credit card dispute I filed as Hatsan requested/demanded. I've answered all their questions they raised in several emails as well as linked them to a 22 min video stored on my Google Drive of the compressor starting from completely cold all the way through to 195 F where it was shut down. Then since Oct 25th - nothing, no status updates, no anything.

Unless you count Hatsan apparently pressuring Mark Nagel to remove the comment I left in his Hatsan Lightning review where I congratulated him on getting his refund and responded to his comment about how Hatsan was now trying to contact him via the phone - I speculated they were looking for him to change his review. Lo and behold, the part of his review with the title " Final Grade - F " has been changed to "Refunded". The reply I posted has been deleted entirely. You'd never know it was different looking at it now.....

Been in contact with Mark Nagel about the changes made to his "Hatsan Lightning Final Report - F" post. Seems moderator(s) changed it to what I mentioned in my last post. It has now been changed back to what Mark originally posted and the post closed to further posting. The post I made in Mark's post however has been removed.

AGN - that's really classy on your part.....you going to go after the AEAC guy too when he posts a less than stellar review?
