The May shoot is in the books for OKC, and what a great turnout. There were 25 shooters this morning who shot a 60-shot course. What a great way to spend a beautiful spring morning! As usual it was a fantastic group of shooters; it's hard to find a better group than airgunners. We had several new shooters, three of which drove in from the great state of Texas, and took 2 of the top 3 positions (they came very close to a sweep). In addition to the 3 Texas shooters, 6 more drove in from Tulsa!

Congratulations:

1st Jeff Cloud 54/60 (with a12ftlb gun no less 💪

2nd Bob Dye 53/60

3rd Mike Massie 50/60

Thanks to all for making it a great morning!

Mike

I had a lot of fun today, and the course and the grounds at your club are as good as any I’ve shot at before. You should feel blessed to have such a great venue. Thanks to everyone who setup the course and I know that you guys are still learning and figuring things out. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions I might be able to help with. I’ll be back!

Great day shooting with friends today. We enjoyed our brothers from Texas coming up across the Red River (legally) today.

We are blessed with at great location to shoot Field Target and good folks to share it with. The 3rd Saturday of the month come join in the fun

and Oklahoma hospitality. Rumer has it there is a good chance of getting a hot dog or two after our next months match. Come see us. Great job OKCGC Airguners!!!

Man, twenty-five shooter!
That's as many as some GP's. I was super glad to see Bob Dye! Haven't seen him since the 2019 Nats. Kevin made the trip too! Thanks to all the OKC airgunners for putting on a superb match.
Next time I'll try and not drop my rifle. Anyhoo, I still had a blast as always. Would love to see a Red River shootout.

see ya all next month if I'm not burned out shooting prairie dogs.

Scott, brother I wish I knew..

cell phone charging jacks at each lane?

maybe a augmented virtual reality FT social media platform?
But you know, at the last several matches in OKC there has been a Boy Scout troop that is camping on the grounds at the entrance to the club. Maybe the club could leverage their activities to pair up with a Boy Scout. I'll have to look into that.

I working on a loaner gun in hopes to grow the sport a little more.
The Arlington Tx. FT club last month had a professor bring one of his classes to shoot as their final exam. The "kids" had a blast or at least appeared too.

Hi Jeff.
Thank you for coming up to shoot with us. We appreciate you guys coming up. We also want to thank you for talking with us about running a good match. We are in the learning curve and we will keep the curve in an accenting line!
I will be reaching out to you for help!
We will come down to your matches also.
Randy.

Hi Dave

Very true on what will get the younger folks involved.
I will talk to Pearl about what can be done with Boy Scouts. Also want to thank you for the help and posts to make Field Target bigger! It is a lot of fun. It’s going to get better here in Oklahoma!

Randy

Thanks Jeff, it was nice to meet and shoot with you, Bob and Kevin. Thanks for coming up and I'm sure we'll take you guys up on your offer and experience. As we gain shooters in OKC, we're getting more and more people who like to help and the club will gain and grow as a result. Several of our new shooters have run clubs/divisions before so we're gaining wisdom there to. It used to be just a handful of people, but we're getting good people taking an interest now and the club should just get better!

Thanks again for the input, hopefully the sky is the limit.

Mike

And, as Randy said, I also hope to come down to some Texas matches. I've heard several people talking about a little Red River trip.
