Results Oklahoma City October 15th Field Target Match Results

We had a great morning to shoot some Field Target this past Saturday. A little chilly, but with 30 targets set up and ready to shoot, we warmed up to the course quickly.

We were missing some of our regulars, but we made the best of it and still had 18 jacketed shooters in attendance. It's really something how far airgunners will travel to get their FT fix. Speaking of which, welcome to Trevor (Thom's brother) who made the trip all the way (18 hours) from Pennsylvania just to shoot with us (wink)! Well, maybe he did enjoy getting to see his brother and family, but he did bring his rifle, just saying

... Also, Stan, thanks for being a regular at our matches, your 5 hour drive from Arkansas (10 hour round trip) seems to hint at some desire to shoot Field Target! And then we had our Tulsa crew. Even though a couple were unable to make it this time, they still took top spot. Good shooting Rick! Team Texas, see you next time!

Thanks team OKC Airgunners for making this a successful season. You really put a nice cap on the season by having lunch and awards waiting for us after the match. Then, we found out all the targets and equipment had mysteriously been put up while we enjoyed lunch and fellowship (Thanks Don! amazing).

Our leadership, and all who shoot monthly, really make this an enjoyable and well run sport. The October shoot was our last "official" match of the season, but matches will fire back up in March. If it is decided to shoot a winter day or two in between, we'll be letting you know.
We want to thank all the shooters for making this a great year for FT. You guys make the work easier and the matches great! It could not have been done with you Y'all!

Man, another great match! Sorry I had to miss it, but just coming off 3 days at the Texas AG show followed by 10 days at EBR, I needed to keep my horse close to the ponderosa that weekend. And dang it, I wasn’t able to make the EFT last weekend either.

For those of you who have never shot in OKC, mark it on your calendar for next year. You won’t be disappointed. Consistent high turnouts, food after almost every match. You can see from the pictures, wooded lanes keep wind speeds to a minimum though I don’t ever recall it being “windy”. How can you not have fun?

I promised I wouldn’t give out any details but there are some new and exciting plans for next year if things go accordingly so don’t winterize your guns in the safe just yet. Clean those barrels and put some more pellets down range, it’s going to be fun and exciting 2023!

Did you see the new stylin’ T shirts! Man, I’m going to have to sharpen my skills so I can win one of those.

Looks like Rick was able to hold off the Mike and Mike charge with his FX Royale. And I gotta give a shout out to Mike M. and his choice of weaponry. Who says you have to spend a sack full of cash to podium?

Looking forward to seeing everyone there at the March 2023 match.
