It would be nice if they could take ads that have been renewed a couple of times and move them to a section for previously viewed ads. It’s a pain in the a$$ to have to scroll through so many old ads to find a few new ones. Just a thought.

New ads go into a new (sub?) forum titled NEW ADS.
After the 1st renewal they are automatically moved to CLASSIFIEDS

I have found the "search tool" to be quite effective for everything. Having answers to questions, finding certain items. I get a little 'chuckle' when I see the same type of question asked that has been answered before. This is a great website with a very good search query. But my friends say that I have great "google fu" , in honesty, it's asking the "right" questions or rephrasing .

A categorized, currently available, dedicated search to the classifieds would be nice.

Yes i use the filter all the time , filters like : pcp rifle or pcp pistol . traditional , meaning springer , optics , rests

Yup! I do the same when I want something specific. I even check the sold items to see what I missed lol.

Go to the search tab , hit the settings gear and choose advanced. There is a category drop down, forum search for the classifieds.

when I view the classifieds, I look at the reply count, as that is the number of times the OP renewed his ad
