So my old Ruger Impact Max Elite .22 that I got used from a Pawn shop for $35 OTD does not disappoint if I do my part. Still doing work and putting down Tree Rats with different pellets at different distances.
Got the top one last at 18 yards with the H&N Baracude Hunter Extreme 18.5gr pellets.
Got the bottom one first at 23 yards with which may be my favorite pellet out there the Predator Polymag SHORTS 15.89gr.
Don't discount a Springer especially if you can get one for a song and a dance. Check your pawn shops for stuff that's been on the gub rack and got dust on it. And carry cash then you can use that as your negotiation power and have an excellent alternative when you are low or our of air for your PCP but still want to do some hunting/pesting.
