Older Crosman 1377

I pulled out my 37 year old Crosman 1377 and tested it with several brands of pellets at about 10M and was quite surprised. It consistently puts holes within a quarter's diameter (bench rest shooting) and even on a rest it shoots better than I can pull the trigger.

This has the old barrel bolt and the bolt plunger is a bit loose. The sight is plastic and has poor windage adjutments.

Are there any upgrades that can be done with this? Will a steel breech fit this gun? Is there a better sight? Better bolt (mine has an annoying magnet on it)?

I don't want to spend too much on upgrades when a new gun will cost only $60, but it would be nice to tune this one up a bit.

There are so many 1377 upgrades. I put roughly $400 into my $60 1377.

A couple of the best upgrades are the metal barrel band and a Super sear for your trigger.

Next might be a metal breech and a flat top piston and valve.

Make sure you get a breech that fits our gun.

Mine ended up like this and shot really well until someone stole it.

Custom grips

Custom sights rear is from a Gamo Rifle front is trimmed down Crosman fiber optic sight epoxied to a small carbon fiber moderator I made.

Aluminum Barrel band

I drilled the rear cap and made a Delrin adjuster for the hammer spring.
