Older Nikko Stirling 10-50x60 on HW97?

I have a Nikko Stirling 10-50x60 made I think early 90’s and wondered if it is ok to use on a HW97?

If so would I need rings or mounts that have the stops in the bottom for springers? Or just regular rings/mounts?

Have you researched if that's a rated scope for springers? Not familiar with scope or gun but that's the 1st thing I'd check.

I found some posts saying the Nikko Stirling was not recommended for springers. I bought a Sightron STac from AoA that was recommended for springers like the HW97.
