I just bought a new Omega 75 CUFT carbon fiber air tank. When I fill my new FX Impact .30 to max (250 bar), the pressure always drops to @ 240 bar after I disconnect. Any thoughts?

You could be filling too fast and it's cooling off which will drop pressure.
Are you looking at two different gauges? The one on your fill system is probably more accurate than the one on the Impact. Those little gauges can be off 10 bar +/-. I've heard of a few being off even more.

Someone posted elsewhere that they like to fill at about 100 PSI per second.
I don't have a specific fill rate like that but, I just take my time and try to fill slowly and steadily. When I feel like rushing it, I just think back to the days when I was using a hand pump and that brings me back to reality. lol!

When I refill my Regal, I take it up to 230 bar and then let it settle for a few seconds and then top it off."marcella69"Thanks for all the good advice, Tom

I don't think it's necessary to stop along the way. Just fill and then come back later and top off.
Sometimes I just leave it hooked up. Especially if I'm running strings or no one else is around that would touch it in any way. I fill to pressure, leave everything hooked up, and just turn the fill bottle off. The line still has that pressure built up in it so, in theory, it should replace a little bit of the pressure that is lost during cool down. In essence, you'll be "tethering" without an external regulator. Also, if you've got to have that 250, you'll waste less air because you would only be bleeding the line once instead of 2-3 times. But, you want to be very careful around a charged line like that. If it somehow gets knocked off, it WILL act like a whip and you could get seriously injured. That's why I only do this when I'm benched, shooting multiple strings, or there's no one else around.
