Omega AC-1a air compressor not compressing past 240bar

Well after 3 years of no problems what so ever my Omega is not reaching pre set 250bar for my AA S510XS. I have filled my AA 170 times from approximately 160cc to 250cc around 2-3 times a month. The usual time spent is about 70 seconds a fill. My Omega has 3.5 total hours of use. It receives the proper grease and I keep the HP output spring with the ball seat clean as required. I have performed soap bubble tests at every connection 3 times and my pressure gage does not look like it is leaking when I shut it off. Any suggestions, I must be missing something.

The 27 seconds is now your standard. If you have any issues just do the same test and decide if you can live with the results. Not all small leaks are worth tracking down, no need to replace the seals if the time is liveable. I think mine goes to 4500 in 30 seconds, my friends takes 34 seconds (not worth tracking down yet). etc.

I did not mention than I also have a Omega Clean Air filter in line so when connected it adds a little bit more time to the fill ups.

No worries. You don't need the filter in the test unless you think it's leaking. The idea is to have a baseline that is quick and repeatable so you can check performance sporadically or if you think there is an issue. My manual states 30seconds to 4500 psi (on factory length hose). It was faster when I received it but now with time it's at the 30seconds. If you are filling an air tank and 15 minutes in you think it's not going fast enough the 30second test will at least confirm sealing and function to the end of the factory hose. The filter probably takes 3 or 4 minutes to fill so if you want to establish a base line with the filter, go for it. I have a filter I use if filling tanks and I have it recorded somewhere (or maybe will record it on the next fill).

Well you got me to thinking just what is my average re-fill time for my 186cc AA .22, from about 160 to 250 bar. 56 seconds.
After installation of the Omega Clean Air filter my fill time averaged 2.56 minutes. yes takes a little longer but I think it worth it.
