Your moisture auto purge is set to go off to often or you have a leak. I had the same problem and after going over the compressor from top to bottom and agonizing over it found a leak where the foster fitting screws on the end of my hose. Don't have a 88cf tank ( you lucky dog ) mine is 72cf and it takes about 1/2 hour. Good luck. Great compressors.

I assume you have the unit with the auto purge? Time it and see how often it is purging. If purging to fast, slow it down. Your humidity will determine how often to set it. I did have a problem on mine taking a long time to fill, but chased it down to the quick connect on the hose leaking, but if you can plug the hose and build and hold pressure that eliminates any leaks. I guess it's possible that the pop-it in the check valve could not be making a clean quick seat and letting some air purge backwards. You could try changing it and see if it helps. Simple to do. Undo the plug on top back of the unit with the provided wrench. Reach in with the tweezer and lift it out and replace it with one from the rebuild kit. While it is open run the compressor for a min and reach in and clean the inside with a Q-tip. If there were some grease in there that slowed the pop-it reset that would increase your fill time. Other then that, give Todd a call at AOA. Great guy and knows what he's talking about. I'm questionable

Mine is leaking at the hose and I took it off and looks like I need a new Dowty washer. Does anyone know where to buy these and what size are they. I can wait and call Todd Monday. Did anyone install a Foster on the air outlet so you can remove that hose and put the cover on?? If you know it works please send me a pm or answer here. I think that would work great if yolu put a foster there. My unit takes one hour to pump 1100 psi. so at 4 hours it goes off at 4400 psi. Is that good times? I am falling in love with the machine. its a nice feeling having unlimited air

With the understanding that the OP was nearly a year ago, perhaps the info below might prove helpful to someone else:

My Omega tank came with a removable restrictor. My paintball shop had a helluva time filling my tank with that restrictor in place. I'm new here and unsure about how to add photos, but if you are curious and reply here or PM me then I will figure it out and show you the restrictor I mentioned. Simple 15 second job to remove it if you have one.

Obviously you have seen a significant difference with the restrictor removed, however AOA's description for the restrictor is to lessen the chance of overfilling your gun and supposedly has no affect on filling the tank.

Thanks for that info. Perhaps the restrictor had little or no effect in the fill rate from a low-flow pump like we typically use (?) but the Hi-rate pump at the paintball shop really struggled and the owner knew something was wrong right away. I think I will put the restrictor back in now that I have my own Omega Supercharger. Thanks again for your additional info.
