Omega Supercharger doesn’t work Very Frustrating

I finally found the time to put the Omega Supercharger to work but it wouldn’t put air intomy PCP rifles beyond 1000psi. I had friends over to look over my air rifles but they weren’t impressed with my $2000.00 compressor failing to fill my rifles. I did have the use of my new Omega 75cf tank that I had filled by a off island Paint Gun Range & Shop. I didn’t want to take five hours to fill the Omega 75cf tank with the Supercharger so I had the tank filled to 4300 and I could use the tank to fill my guns. The Supercharger would be used to top off the large Omega tank. I will be calling Airguns of Arizona tomorrow morning to see about sending them the Compressor for servicing or repairs. The tank has less the two hours on the meter, I don’t want to be tearing down the compressor .

Hopefully I won’t be charged a small fortune to have it fixed. I have a wolverine 2 Hilite 3.0, a Daystate Pulsar HP .25, a FX Boss .30, a Sumatra .22 2500 and yesterday I received the New FX Impact X in .30 caliber. I have these Top Quality PCP rifles but can’t utilize the Supercharger to put adequate air into them.

Don’t feel bad cause mine is broken as well with 57 hours on the clock🙁 been in contact with Todd tried to fix the charging problem as well shuts off right around 1000 psi not a happy camper at all. Shipping that compressor back to them and the return is going to cost you a small fortune. $2000 not impressed at all🙁 my yong heng compressor I have works better and faster to top off tanks. That omega is a piece of sh.t mine quit working back in November. Todd said I used too much grease the grease knob on top so I tore it apart followed his instructions on the phone and text still would not go past 1000psi. Went overseas in November and coming back next week to a still broken omega compressor not a happy camper 😡

Check your bleedvalve and make sure it is closed tjghtly. Feel the two air holes on rear of compressor. If you feel any air coming out, your bleed valve is not closed completely. It happenen to me so that is maybe your problem.

I will check that. If it is the bleed valve, would the compressor keep running instead of shutting off?

Sorry to hear of your problems. The nice thing about the Omega is that Tod WILL get you taken care of. I had one for 100+ hours before it got tired. Tod had me just unbolt the head and send that back to him. He made it brand new and only cost about 100.00. If you ship the whole compressor it's going to cost that much in freight. If your compressor is making 1000psi it is working. Just not building high end pressure. I had this same problem with mine and would guess one of two things. First is an air leak somewhere. Found mine on the o-ring to the gun quick disconnect. Also check your bleed valve. The 2nd place to look would be the check valve. Super easy to clean and service and you should have the parts in your kit that came with the compressor. If you have used to much grease this check valve can get sticky and air leaks back causing just the problem your describing. Give it a try. If it is more then that ask Tod about just sending in the head. It's easy to unbolt and small so shipping cost little. Good luck. sylvan

Todd sent me spare parts and I even used the parts that came with the compressor. Made sure everything was cleaned before reassembly. Three times I took it apart and is where I left it😡 You said you had one?🤔 these compressors are certainly not worth the 2 grand I paid for it. For 2 grand I could have bought approximately 8 yong heng compressors but at the time I bought this piece of sh.t the yong heng was not available. Not happy if I have to send it in and pay to ship and pay more money to get it to run again😡

Contrary to popular belief some Chinese factories produce exceptional quality rubbish LOL!

All I can say is the OMEGA is still half the price of the German SCUBA compressors and IMO much more suited to home use, plus the backup is exceptional.

The YH was never really designed to be used in the way that people are using it was it, hence IMO it is no fit for the application, the OMEGA's may fail occasionaly as any product could, but at least they are designed for the job at hand.

If reliability was an issue no-one would ever buy a Ferrari would they!

Don’t give up on the compressor. I have nearly 60 hours on mine and other then the one time the bleed valve was not tightly cloced, I’ve had no problem. Get on the phone with them and push for help. Their response to requests for help have always been good from all I’ve read of others having a problem.

And yes, the compressor will continue to run even though the bleed valve is leaking because the compressor is still trying to get your tank filled.

Mine will stop pumping around 1000 psi and shutdown trip the breaker on the front panel. Thinking more like motor problem. At $2k with 50+ hrs not happy at all and if a Ferrari breaks down will less than 10k on the clock I would be pi’s.,*

My Supercharger filled my Pulsar HP a bit less than 100 Bar and it started making a different sound and then slowed down and stopped running. The machine had less than two hours on the time meter. It looks like I should have payed more attention to the numerous bad reviews. I had phone contact with Tod at AOA and I chose to send the machine back for him to fix. Watching the Utube video convinced me that it was not for me to tackle. It cost me $130.00 to ship it from Washington State to Arizona and hopefully it won’t cost a small fortune to get it properly running and back to me. It is very frustrating that there are so many of these machines being repaired and even overhauled completely and they fail again after little use. I living on a island and not having access to a Scuba Shop decided to get the Omega Supercharger so I could refill my Omega 75CF tank and Top off my Guns. Come on Omega, I put out $3000.00 so I can have a good home setup and I don’t have a working machine. I also purchased the $275.00 Omega Dry air filtering system and it didn’t come with any instructions and Utube doesn’t have any videos on the Omega Dry Air Filter.

pooterjoe. At least with Omega you have Tod to back you up. I have every confidence he will get you sorted out even though having problems is such an inconvenience. I feel bad for the owners of import compressors that have no one to help them.

Which island are you living on. We live in Idaho, but kids and grandkids are in Bellevue and Seattle. We keep a boat in Elliot Bay Marina and try to spend 3 months per year out in the islands. sylvan
