Omega Supercharger Recap

I was the lucky guy who won the Omega on an Airgun Nation / AOA give away 2 1/2 years ago. I thought I would give a quick update on my thoughts and experience. First let me say a compressor changes your whole way of thinking...no more worries about how much air do I have, when / where can I get it filled, etc. You just shoot anytime you want and fill your own air whenever you need it. I received it Early December 2016 and it had 55 hours on it. I think AOA had used it their shop and for EBR that year. I now have 225 hours total on it, so I have put on 170 hours. I usually fill my Omega 75 cubic foot tank when it gets down to 3100 - 3300 psi and it takes roughly 45 - 55 minutes to fill. Using 50 minutes as an average I've used it roughly 140 times. I hope my thought process is correct. That means I've shot a lot of pellets. If you get the airgun bug get a compressor after your first 2 or 3 guns...we always want something else....

I did have one glitch at 110 hours where it wouldn't build pressure over about 3500 psi. Sent it back to Todd at AOA and he fixed the problem under warranty and sent it back. I did pay UPS both ways. If you buy a compressor SAVE the box it comes in. I've also had 1 burst disc burst, which scares the crap out of you, but they are very easy to replace. I've re-ordered the special grease that it requires. I also bought the Diablo Filter from AOA and check it every 6 months and have had only 1 or 2 beads discolor so the moisture removal system must be working.

Overall impressions are very positive. I like the enclosed cooling system that includes a fan and recirculating coolant, its never been more than warm when filling, the moisture removal system, the automatic shut off that you can set ( this is a must have!) and the phone support when needed. I f I need to buy a compressor in the future I will look at alternatives and cost differences but the Omega will start with a Big Lead!

I’ve had mine for 2 years. You are right...no worries air always when you need it. The first year after 3 or 4 fillups of my tank I had a burst disc problem....really can’t remember the actual problem..so long ago...just called Todd and problem was fixed with a few parts. Since then no issues whatsoever all is well. I haven’t put 170 hours...I’m at 80. I love having a compressor!! And the Omega Super Charger is a good one!
