Omega Supercharger slow to wake up

Switched my Supercharger on this morning... Hmmmm... not building pressure.

• Sounded perfectly normal.
• coolant flowing as it should.

Let it run for about a minute... no build. Shut it off.

Did this a few times and on the 3rd time, it started building pressure as normal -whew!

Wondering if anyone has thoughts on this.

I have an Omega and sometimes I have to move (wiggle) the hose at the connector fitting to get it seal and build pressure.

Mine behaved in a similar way and I replaced the female QD o-ring. It showed signs of wear once I removed it and got a good look at it. That solve my issue.

Chances are it's the check valve has gotten dirty and is hanging up. When I had my Omega Supercharger about every 20 hours or so the little pop-it in the check valve had to be cleaned or replaced. You should have some replacements in your kit that came with the compressor plus a small pair of tweezers. Really simple to do. Unscrew the brass cap of the check valve, reach in with the tweezers and take out the spring and pop-it. Clean with a Q-tip and replace. If the little rubber pop-it is distorted replace it with one from your parts kit. It's about the size of a 177 pellet. If that doesn't work call AOA and talk to Tod. Good luck. sylvan

Can’t help you with the compressor but I was wondering about your tank bag. It looks like a great idea to me where ever it came from. Is it padded?

It's a stuff sack I got from REI. I wrapped the tank in some thin foam 1st and then put the stuff sack over it.
