Omega Trail Charger - my experience

Nearly 6 months with my Nomad II and it works fantastic.

No complaints here and 100 times better than my old Omega compressor. That thing was garbage.

maybe I’m lucky but I have been using yong Heng for well over a year I fill my guns as well as 90ci bottles and 60min scba tank never givin me an issue at all , I use frozen water bottles in the water to help it, my first one wasn’t auto shut off so I bought a second one that is auto shutoff and it has also worked flawlessly, so hung on to the first one do a parts machine. A cpl friends got a few parts from it that they needed to replace their lost parts on the ones they have I wouldn’t hesitate buying another one

Can you tell us a little bit more on how you use your Nomad II? For example, are you primarily filling guns directly with it? Little pony bottles like the 90ci carbon fiber tanks? Both? Also, how often do you run it?

I usually just top up my bottle guns like Impact and Crown as I sold my smaller 90ci tank. No clue how many hours are on the compressor but it will often go weeks without being used and other times every day. I have just been following maintenance recommendations and now in the summer months I run a fan next to it but keep it in my basement where it is cool. 

If this compressor ends up biting the dust I will likely go all in on a Carette Bauer or something like that. Wait until these small ones are perfected and price comes down.

I appreciate the input. It sounds like these minicompressors have some development left to go. It'll be interesting to see what evolution of these we'll see at trade shows a couple years from now.
