Omega Turbo Charger Experiences????

I am thinking of purchasing the Omega Turbo Charger. Anyone have some real life experiences with that compressor to share? Good or bad? I have the Omega Air Charger and it has been worry free for 3 plus years. Just before EBR it stopped building pressure in the 1st stage when it starts out. I just had Todd rebuild it but thinking about upgrading.

I have both a newer air charger and an older supercharger. The newer air charger is 3x faster. That is not any exaggeration.

A few years ago they upgraded the pump in the air chargers. It’s 1/2 hour to fill a big tank from 3200-4500. Takes an hour and a half with the supercharger.

Thanks Mike, That is about right with my air charger too. I usually run down to 3500 or so and fill to 4600 and it usually takes about 20-25 minutes. Do you know anyone with the two piston Turbo Charger? Supposed to be twice as fast as the Air charger that we both have.

I do ….it’s not that much faster than the air charger as far as I have seen. Maybe 20%

I have a Turbocharger! I bought it from a guy who had just bought it from AOA and was then diagnosed with serious cancer and selling his airguns. I've had it for a 1 1/2 years and put 36 hours on it. Absolutely no problems. I fill a 75 cubic ft Omega, a 19 cubic foot Omega, and some rifles that take 300 bar, once a week. Previously had an Omega Super Charger that I won on this Forum about 6 years ago. It was reliable but slow. Gave it away at 260 hours / 5 years because it was blowing burst discs and nobody could figure out the problem, Only drawback with the Super Charger was speed. Lasted 12 hours, nightmare dealing with China. I did get my $ back through Amazon as I had purchased the warranty.
I highly recommend the Turboccharger.

Thanks skohl, I have the air charger as mentioned above. 3 years been worry free but a few days before EBR it started to not build pressure on stage 1. I had Todd rebuild it, and a couple days ago i tried to fill my 100 and the air charger blew a burst disc. I am waiting for Todd to mail me a replacement. I hope it does not run into a common event like you had with the super charger.

My turbo charger worked fantastic for 100 hours and then slowly took longer and longer to top off a tank. Now at 116 hours it will not get above 2000 psi. Todd told me to check several things but nothing found wrong. Guess it needs a rebuild.

I have one. It started out very shaky. I got to know Todd from Raptor Pneumatics telephone number by memory I called him so much for trouble shooting. I finally just shipped it to him for repair. He rebuilt it completely. UPS banged it up on the way back so I had to call Todd a few more times for trouble shooting. It seems to be working fine now so I alternate between it and my Alkin. I normally go shooting on Sundays and take two tanks. If I only use one of the tanks for a couple of fills I just refill it with the Omega.

I recently purchased a Omega Patriot 75 cu. ft. with HP3 valve air cylinder from AOA. I use my Omega Turbo Charger compressor also purchased from AOA to fill it. I'm very happy with both! I also have a Trail Charger, but since buying the Turbo Charger and cylinder, I don't find myself using it.

I have the Omega Air Charger as well. Have had it for five years, no issues. Fills tanks from 3500 PSI to 4500 PSI in about 25 minutes. Great compressor.
