One hole group challenge - smallest group size

Thats how quality target paper/match wads comes in play. Clean near no mistake punched holes ..

Then here the first picture in the link..
Thats getting down close as possble lay the paper on like flat as glass brings the hole edges up flat and and gusge and magnifying glass thing

You know that nitty gritty for the gold , cash and prize's.🤤.

Anyway thats my take.. but like mine and your way/ paper i think it looks good to me as posted..👍

Tried another group of 5 this morning. Used the backside of target paper. I am measuring the best that I know how but it’s not easy. For example, the top left target is 5.53mm. I measured from the cut opening to the lead smear edge. Is this correct. I know ,I know. It’s the honor system and I’m only cheating myself…….BUT any tips on this sure would make me feel better. I ordered some wad cutter pellets yesterday. We’ll see how they do.✌️

Good job. FYI, wadcutters will do best at distances under 10 meters - that's what they are designed for. Also if you tape the target to a piece of light cardboard (like a cereal box) it will make a cleaner hole. While you could use a ruler for measurements, a caliper that reads millimeters will be easiest. The reason for meter is two-fold: the cans of pellets show pellet diameter in millimeters and shooters outside US may want to do this as well and they use metric measurements.

Let's not get all scientific here. I hope to just have some fun over winter and maybe either develop some shooting skills or keep the ones we developed last summer. Let's just compete against ourselves and call it good. So I agree, that target looks great.

Not one hole, yet! Scope on 12x, bipod front, fist as rear bag. 1/4” squares. Left my calipers at work.

Glad you took up this fun challenge Luis. Looking forward to your target posts. Nice shooting as always from an awsum pistol.
Thanks. My loving and understanding wife lets me shoot indoors for my sake. My dog, he just stays low and out of the way. Will definitely keep at it with different guns as winter rolls through.

@Mo-Ron, I should’ve been clearer. The high and low references relate to the transfer port setting for those groups. At the high TP setting the Crosman pellets average 725 fps. On the low setting they average 687 fps. The JSB Exact Jumbo 18s, average in the low 690s fps on high TP setting. Hope that helps clarify my previous comments. Am planning to do more extensive chronographing across all three TP settings come Spring.

Didn't shoot today. The regular "range" is also the laundry room and wife gets use of it on Sundays 😁 I could have used the longer range (25 feet) from workshop down the hall to basement steps with pellet trap sitting on step, but with wife going up and down steps that might not have been such a good idea 🙄 That's ok, I get the "range" rest of week. Happy Sunday to you all. Hope you had a great day.

Lol..i figured... I pretty much shoot nothing but the cphp, but i was wondering how fast you were pushing them on high. Funny 800 is gold in my .22 with them.

Well anyway looks good.. low looks to work best for ya..

Hello @rsfrid

That 5.8mm sure does look small, the slightest movement of one pellet sure can add to a dimension.

I know, right? Usually it was either the first shot or last shot that opened up the group. I'm getting lots of practice on my hold and holding steady. I'll see if that helps with indoor 25yd this winter.
