One shot group for my Uncle Tommy

Right as I was about to start shooting my gf comes outside and tells me my Unlce Tommy just passed away. He’d been struggling with Chron’s all his life and Parkinson’s for the last 15 years. He’d been so loaded up on pills he wasn’t thinking right but the Uncle Tommy I knew was still there til the end.

Thomas J. Weis was an exemplary father, awesome friend, loyal husband, and a great American. He showed me what a man should be. I’ll never forget being a kid and asking a million questions about the WW2 M-1 that hung above the fireplace. That was the beginning of my obsession with guns. His collection of over 200 PB’s and all sorts of WW2 memorabilia provided me unlimited fodder for my young imagination.
His father was in WW2 and his father before him in WW1. Tommy wanted to join the military at 18 but was denied because he was flat footed. Instead he went on to be a hard working and dedicated father. After trying many years to have a child, he and my aunt finally conceived little Tommy. I remember as a kid I was envious that little Tommy had such a good dad and I had a POS. He was an amazing father to his son. Giving him the support and guidance that is worth more than being a father with millions. He got to see his son graduate from a prestigious school. Then go on to work in various govt agencies. But most importantly, he was able to become a grandfather and spend time with his two grand kids. I will miss you greatly my friend. You’re the reason I love Clint Eastwood movies and the reason why I collect guns. You will never be forgotten.
